To say that this story is inspiring is actually an understatement for it goes well beyond inspiration. It challenges your entire notion of what you take for granted and forces you to examine the boundaries we set up for ourselves that we think we cannot overcome. This story transcends the notion of will power.

‘Soul Surfer’ – a movie based on the true life events of Bethany Hamilton – a pro surfer who lost her arm after suffering a shark attack and despite everything, never lost faith in herself and her passion for surfing. She re-teaches herself how to surf with one arm and goes on to win national surf championships. (Note: please have a box of tissues handy, trust me, you will need it).

The sheer determination and positive attitude that Bethany has makes us all re-think our belief systems and that anything really is possible. Please watch this movie, I highly recommend it.
